Five Steps to Prevent Urinary Tract Infections


More common in women, approximately one in two females will suffer from an acute urinary tract infection (UTI) at some stage of their life, with numbers rising at the onset of sexual activity, increasing again with the menopause and peaking with women over 65 years, when the rate is double the rest of the female population.


We all know the phrase ‘prevention is better than cure’. Well, it’s good to know that there are a number of steps you can take to help prevent urine infections, which are especially important to take note of if you are in a higher risk group.
