Testing Sunshine Vitamin D

Even though it’s sunny out there today, the lurgy season has already begun.

There’s no single food or supplement that can “boost” your immunity overnight, but there’s plenty you can do to build your defences.

️Looking at your blood markers, can be a good place to start, allowing you an insight into key nutrient levels and immune health.

Vitamin D testing - is where I'd begin as here in the Uk…the sun, isn’t generally strong enough for our bodies to make sufficient amounts of vitamin D between October and early March.

It’s an easy test to do at home, involving a finger prick, where you drop a droplet or two of blood onto a blood spot form.

This form then gets sent off to a lab who contact you with your results.

I generally aim to keep my levels up around 100 nmol/L to help my immune system as well as my bone density & hormones.

I recommend the Medichecks Vitamin D (25 OH) Blood Test to clients as it's quick, reliable and reasonably priced.
